What is the maximum load limit per truck
The load limit per tri-axle trailer allows us to load 30 metric tonnes (“MT”) breakbulk. Where loading containerised we work on the basis of 1 x 20 foot container heavy maximum of 26.00MT gross weight and 1 x 40 foot container a maximum of 28.00MT gross weight. Should you be uncertain please enquire with us and we will analyse your documents, photographs and revert with our expert opinion.
What is the maximum load of our Fassi 1650 Truck Mounted Crane
This crane truck has the capability to lift up to 30T within a 3m radius but it can also lift 6T up to a vertical height of 23m or 5T at a radius of 19.5m, so offers excellent versatility for off-loading and positioning of equipment.
Can you move abnormal loads?
Yes, Mitchelstown Transport has a history of delivering abnormal / oversized loads and with our lowloader we can assist with most transport requirements. We have our escort vehicle ready to provide support and our team will ensure we have all the necessary permits to relocate your load as required.

Our your drivers trained?
We are very lucky to have a skilled team of drivers. Our drivers all hold valid licences, forklift licences, manual handling and safe pass tickets and any other necessary qualifications. Our crane operators have their HIAB certifications, are qualified to Work at Heights, and have their Banksman Tickets as well. Our Director Ciaran is an Appointed Person and this allows us to access locations to provide a comprehensive Lift Plan prior to commencing work to provide a systematic and safe approach towards any lifting operation.
